Van Morrison is a singer-songwriter and musician from Belfast.
Starting his music career in 1958 as a member of The Monarchs, he soon embarked on a solo career and has gone on to release more than 30 albums to date. This includes his debut LP, ‘Astral Weeks’, in 1967 and, most recently, 'Accentuate The Positive' in 2023. He also put out a compilation of unreleased material, 'New Arrangements And Duets', in 2024. He's well known for tracks such as Brown Eyed Girl, and has won countless awards for his efforts, including two Grammys, an induction into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame and the coveted BRIT Award for Outstanding Contribution To Music. Van Morrison will return to his home city in August 2025 for two special 80th birthday shows at The Waterfront Hall Belfast, returning the venue the following month for An Evening of Words & Music.
